Purchased in 2017 Property from the Koors Family, this commercial building is located at the corner of Holman and 16th Street. Built in the early 1900s, it operated as a bar for many years, dating back to when neighborhood corner bars were abundant in Covington. It was once home to Moore’s Café, Koors Tavern in the 1980s, and Scooters. John Koors purchased the property in 2016 to restore the family tavern, undertaking extensive work to rebuild the bar, reopen blocked-in windows, restore the floors, among other improvements. After realizing that rebuilding a bar was more enjoyable than running one, he listed it for sale. After our purchase, Thirty9 Property made further enhancements, including adding a full kitchen behind the bar, a deck off the back, and other updates to accommodate more uses. Currently, Chowdown Cincinnati operates out of the building, using the space for office use and private events.
