Purchased in December 2024, this property was previously owned by Butch Gravett, the second-generation owner and operator of Gravett’s Garage. It’s no easy feat to run an automotive shop with a great reputation, but Butch accomplished it with his dedication to the business and commitment to his customers. Butch has been happy to share stories about the history of this building, going back to when his dad owned it. Look forward to staying in contact, learning more, and showing him the finished project.
Phase 1 of construction involved: a full demolition of drop ceilings, interior walls, automotive equipment, lifts, and more. Structural repairs were made to the masonry portions of the building, including tuckpointing the brick, replacing the I-beams above garage doors, and rearranging egress and windows to best suit the new use of this space. We have replaced all the roofs on the building and worked with structural engineers to rebuild certain areas to support a rooftop deck and the loads of future mechanical systems. The pictures shown here are exterior designs we’ve worked hard on, striving to preserve the natural and rustic warmth of the building while introducing modern upgrades.
Phase 2 will include utility updates and continued improvements to the exterior. This phase also includes the QR code you scanned to get here, marketing and space leasing. Identifying businesses that will move into the space will guide the next phases of construction.
